Join Chef Karen for a fun and cozy evening creating dishes suited for any occasion.
In this hands-on class with Chef Karen, you are invited to cozy up in the kitchen and of course roll up your sleeves, put on an apron, and participate in creating a comfort food feast using local ingredients with a Pacific Northwest flair.
You will begin by learning and reviewing kitchen basics and then you will dive in to cooking. Some of the recipes you can look forward to making include a creamy salmon spread on toasty crostini, roasted sweet potato and coconut soup, and a surprisingly simple chicken ballotine.
Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

We had a wonderful evening with Karen and really enjoyed the event. She was very thoughtful and taught us some tips and tricks to use in the kitchen, and the food was delicious!

Meet your chef
Chef Karen has been cooking since elementary school, starting out by participating in county fair 4-H competitions. After 15 years of working as a social worker and raising a family, she decided it was time to get serious about her passion for cooking and attended the Seattle Culinary Academy to begin her new career. Formerly a sous chef, Chef Karen now enjoys teaching cooking classes, and catering and hosting events at her family farm.
