Social Distancing Friendly Join Chef Karen for an evening of rich, Middle Eastern flavors and good company.
In this hands-on class, Chef Karen will introduce you to Middle Eastern cuisine by pulling ingredients from the local bounty and adding flavors that make up the cuisine of the region.
You will begin with a trio of spreads. Then, you will learn how the citrusy flavors of sumac and preserved lemons, alongside the creaminess of yogurt, will round out the lamb, not to mention elevating vegetables to divine heights. You will also have the opportunity to try exotic spice blends common in many Middle Eastern countries.
Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Wonderful fun evening and the food was fantastic! Chef Karen was so knowledgeable and personable. We arrived as her students and we left with new friends. A truly memorable experience!

We had a wonderful evening with Karen and really enjoyed the event. She was very thoughtful and taught us some tips and tricks to use in the kitchen, and the food was delicious!

Karen was wonderful!! We had such a fun time, and learned how to cook new kinds of food. Definitely would recommend.
Meet your chef
Chef Karen has been cooking since elementary school, starting out by participating in county fair 4-H competitions. After 15 years of working as a social worker and raising a family, she decided it was time to get serious about her passion for cooking and attended the Seattle Culinary Academy to begin her new career. Formerly a sous chef, Chef Karen now enjoys teaching cooking classes, and catering and hosting events at her family farm.
