Join Chef RJ in this hands-on class and take a historical culinary journey through the Deep South. The authenticity oozing from this five-course menu is sure to have you saying "y'all" by the end of the night, and understanding what it is about Southern food that makes it so comforting.
Memaw's buttermilk biscuits with Tupelo honey will begin the class. Then, Chef RJ will teach you how to get the most flavor out of fried chicken, which will be aptly paired with waffles and a satisfyingly simple macaroni and cheese.
Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

This is my 2nd Cozi experience with RJ and once again, he did not disappoint! The soul food was amazing and so flavorful. The crabcake was a revelation and I can't wait to try some of the recipes out at home. I will definitely be back!

Meet your chef
Chef RJ is a well-seasoned chef with previous positions as the executive chef for renowned restaurants, as well as other exciting culinary endeavors, including cooking on a private yacht and at a premiere guest ranch. He is also a registered dietician and an American Culinary Federation-certified executive chef. Above all, Chef RJ is an impeccable teacher, incredibly personable, and is known for preparing immensely creative dishes.
