Serve up a Mexican-inspired dinner centered around the tamale.

Take cues from Mexico this season and create dishes that will warm the body and soul for the holidays. A 12-year veteran of the restaurant industry, Chef Carolina brings the experience from a legacy of authentic Mexican cooking in her family as well as a drive to promote natural, unprocessed foods.

Share in Chef Carolina’s family tradition of preparing for the holiday dinner. From harvesting the corn, selecting and soaking the husks, cooking and grinding the corn to butchering pigs and chickens, Carolina will explain the tamale and pozole process and you will cook them. You will learn three different savory tamale fillings, one sweet, and one popular pork pozole. Take a break from the turkey this year, and try a Mexican feast!

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Carolina and her family were so welcoming to our very large group. If I could leave 10 stars I would. She was lively, fun and most of all such a lovely person. We ordered the Southern BBQ Dinner. The meal was absolutely delicious and so plentiful. And we're from the south, so we know what it's supposed to taste like! The delivery and set-up staff was great and Chef Carolina very thoughtfully reached out ahead of time to ensure that no last-minute needs had arisen. She was professional, extremely quick to respond, and a joy to work with.

Chef Carolina graduated from the Art Institute and The Institute of Natural Food, and worked in the restaurant industry for 12 years. She has been surrounded by good food all of her life — her mother and grandmother were always in the kitchen cooking, and she learned many secrets to authentic ethnic Mexican food from them.
