Couples Sushi Making Class - The Art of Sushi Making for 2

Learn how to make hand-rolls, California rolls, and more!

Handcraft and enjoy a fresh, Japanese sushi feast that you can easily recreate at home in this cozy cooking class for two. Chef Ploy will guide the two of you through the skills and techniques you need to create an array of traditional sushi rolls.

Master the classic meticulously folded tamago as you create a decadent golden tamago nigiri. Learn how to make a gorgeous conical hand-roll by creating an authentic temaki sushi. I loved Chef Ploy's Jade Curry, a little spicy for my taste but she showed me how to lessen the heat--whether to use less curry paste or more coconut milk etc. I like it when Chefs can tell me different ways of changing things, I think it shows that they know their stuff and can answer any questions I have. I love to cook and so it's not just about what I'm learning when I take a class but how I can apply it to my own cooking and use what I've learned. Chef Ploy gave me those answers and she's so fun and cute!

I loved getting Chef Ploy's tips on knife skills and other little things like how to buy local ingredients. This really makes a difference.

I discovered my passion for cooking when I was just ten years old. Since then I have gravitated towards a healthy and sustainable cooking style that I apply to traditional Thai meals. As a native Thai chef, I bring an understanding of the culture and history behind each dish. I also back up my recipes with certification from the Suan Dusit International Culinary School in Bangkok. I moved to Boston in 2012 and have taught numerous cooking classes since then.
