Master Chef Mat’s tips and techniques for creating gorgeous, mouthwatering soups and stews in this cozy cooking class for two. Learn dazzling recipes that you can easily recreate together in your home kitchen.

Class begins with a smoked golden heirloom tomato soup laced with rich goat cheese and fresh basil. For the second course, Chef Mat will guide you through a classic lobster bisque packed with luscious lobster meat. Then learn how to make a succulent beef stew, brimming with seasonal glazed root vegetables.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

After receiving Food and Wine Magazine's 'Best New Chef' award in 2004, I moved to the Bay Area to work for top restaurants and then for the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy as the food and beverage manager. Soups have always mystified me. Mine always ending up either tasting like salt or like water. Chef Mat easily demystified them for me and I look forward to creating simple delicious meals at home with fresh herbs and homegrown vegetables. Delicious and fun. Highly recommended!
