Learn how to make two of Burma’s most iconic and delicious dishes with Chef Sara.

Join Chef Sara as she guides you through traditional Burmese cuisine in this unique class! Learn new skills and refreshing recipes as you discover a cuisine characterized by its bright flavors and healthy ingredients.

The first dish of the evening is latto, an iconic Burmese noodle salad. Dish number two is kauswer, a hearty Burmese-style coconut noodle soup featuring succulent chicken and fresh eggs, flavored with lemon, cilantro and the heat of fresh chili. These wholesome dishes are simple to make and sure to satisfy your palate.

Guests are welcome to provide wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef Sara was awesome! The food was amazing (we made a Burmese salad, similar to tea leaf salad, and a chicken khao soi). We are thrilled that now we know how to make these dishes ourselves. And Sara gave us a lot of handy tips that we will probably be using in our kitchen for years. 10/10!

My partner and I had an incredible time cooking with Sara! Even before the class, she was extremely communicative and prompt. During the class, she let us be as involved as we wanted, and was a great teacher. It was amazing to learn that I could create complex and delicious dishes in my own kitchen with just a few tools. This was an amazing experience to share with my partner, and I would strongly recommend other people book with Sara!

We had a wonderful time learning to cook with Chef Sara!! She was a knowledgeable teacher and the class was informal and fun with just the right amount of hands-on learning. (Not to mention that the dishes were incredible and she was generous about sharing the recipes.) 10/10 would recommend!

When she first came to the U.S., Chef Sara noticed that restaurants prepared traditional Indian dishes using artificial flavoring and additives. Her mission is to educate both experienced and beginner cooks on the importance of whole food ingredients and the impact they have on the final product. She looks forward to teaching you how to cut, chop, mince, and mix your first set of Indian dishes.
