The wintry weather calls for warm meals with hearty meats and stews. In this hands-on cooking class, you'll get the tools and skills you need to make fantastic braised meats at home. You’ll learn how to sear, braise, marinate and then turn rib bones into stock. After this class, you’ll be able to make six meals in just a few hours. You’ll start with beer-braised short ribs, continue with barley stew, bean soup, polenta and then move on to shredded beef tacos with homemade tortillas and pickled onions. Meat, it’s what for dinner!

Meet your chef
Chef Clemence was born in Paris and developed a taste for buttery, sweet and chocolate-filled pastries early in her life. And her love for chocolate has never waned. Her parents moved from France to Washington, D.C. where she perfected her chocolate chip cookie recipe. She studied film in Syracuse, New York, worked at Fox in L.A. for a stint before her friends convinced her to open a dessert company. Besides teaching, she also develops recipes and serves as a food consultant.
