Teens 5 Day Summer Series Advanced Baking

Aspiring bakers level up their culinary skills with five days of learning advanced techniques.

In this immersive cooking series, teen bakers ages 12 and up tackle challenging recipes with the guidance of an experienced chef instructor. Students learn advanced baking techniques while reinforcing basic food preparation and kitchen safety best practices. Each day of summer cooking classes introduces new skills, offering hands-on practice while building confidence in the kitchen and encouraging creativity and teamwork. At the end of the series, each student will take home a printed menu and graduation certificate to celebrate their accomplishment.

Classes typically run for two to two and a half hours, unless specified otherwise. Group work is a key component; kids can expect to collaborate with four other students. The class involves standing, cooking and active participation throughout. Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are required and long hair should be securely tied back for safety. Please note that these are drop-off classes. Parents do not stay during the classes.

We had chef Craig, and he was great. He spent time teaching us techniques and explaining the reasons behind the techniques. Craig was patient and made us laugh! Great event.

To begin, I was not aware that we would be cooking the entire meal with another couple which had me doing about 1/4 of the cooking, I think I diced garlic and pistachios. The portions were also very small, we went for a whole meal after the class. The instructor told us what to do, but that was about it. Overall pretty disappointed for the price we paid.

My husband and I had an enjoyable time. The food turned out excellent. Chef Joy and the others in the class were delightful to be around. There was a lot of standing. I wish we had been able to at least sit down to eat the delicious food. Overall great experience.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary with this cooking class and had so much fun! Would have been better with a little wine or champagne but it was great. We've already made a few of the dishes!!

Chef Tanya and Jake, the cooking instructors, were terrific! They not only shared valuable tips for cooking but also for prepping and cleaning the station. I was thrilled with the class and can't wait to sign up for another one. If you're interested, book your spot on a Saturday or Sunday.

Our family of 3 (including a teen son) really enjoyed this class. The recipes were easy to figure out and make, and it's nice to have the book to refer to the 3 things we made, as well as all of the other content. Chef Kelley was very helpful, friendly, and encouraging with our son!

This was a fun and wonderful class. The recipes were delicious . Chef Chris was a true professional chef. She gave little inside tips, was very good at explaining the recipes. I would take another class with Chef Chris!

What a great class. From the beginning with regard to explaining the different variations that we were going to make. Guiding us in the preparing of the ingredients and working with us in the cooking of the ingredients and how it all comes together . The end result the best getting to eat what we made. Delicious. Ready to register for my next class. Great way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

It was so much fun! Learned several techniques from Chef Miguel and the food was amazing. I believe the small class size helped. I would recommend this class.
