Cooking Class - 5-Day Foodie Fun Kids: Discover Baking - Centennial

What You’ll Do

Kids can head to the bakeshop this summer and learn to cook with a chef.

Young chefs unite and learn to bake in this bakeshop-focused cooking series. For five days of summer cooking classes, kids ages 7-11 can join a professional chef and discover the art of baking. They'll flip light and airy crêpes, knead dough, bake, decorate a cake and do so much more! Essential skills like food prep and kitchen safety are covered in each class, making this series fun and educational. When the weekends, every child will head home with a set of recipes and a graduation certificate.

Classes typically run for two to two and a half hours, unless specified otherwise. Group work is a key component; kids can expect to collaborate with four other students. The class involves standing, cooking and active participation throughout. Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are required and long hair should be securely tied back for safety. Please note that these are drop-off classes. Parents do not stay during the classes.

Chef Anne was amazing. She made making croissants fun and exciting! She had fun stories and gave us LOTS of information regarding cooking and especially bread. I liked the way she taught the class.

Chef was NOT Christopher. Ingredients on menu were not available as advertised (yet they were in available in local store). This should’ve been disclosed the day before so we could reschedule. Chef was not very personable and did not seem to know the menu well. No chairs for sitting if needed and counter was too high (does not accommodate for disabilities under ADA).
