Cooking Class - 4-Day Foodie Fun Kids: Junior Bakers

Four days of learning baking fundamentals and having fun while doing so.

Geared towards 7-11-year-olds, this 4-day summer cooking series aims to give your budding pastry chefs a chance to explore and improve their skills. A chef will be on hand to guide them as they experience the wonders of baking, learning fresh recipes, honing their dough-kneading skills and emphasizing kitchen safety while enjoying the baking process. At the end of the four-day summer cooking classes, they’ll leave with more than just delicious treats; they take home cherished memories, a printed menu of their creations and a graduation certificate.

Classes typically run for two to two and a half hours, unless specified otherwise. Group work is a key component; kids can expect to collaborate with four other students. The class involves standing, cooking and active participation throughout. Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are required and long hair should be securely tied back for safety. Please note that these are drop-off classes. Parents do not stay during the classes.

The chef was excellent and the food was very good. But we noted that two of the stations had one attendee. These attendees did not have to share the setups and food among four people, they each got their own. Therefore they had double the amount of food given to everyone else even though they paid the same price for the class. This is not fair. I felt like we we should have received our money back for half the cost of the food.
