Cooking Class - Basic Knife Skills

Sharpen your knife skills in this hands-on class.

Improve your efficiency in the kitchen by learning the proper way to use a knife. This interactive experience is led by an expert chef, who will ensure that your knife skills improve regardless of your comfort level in the kitchen. From learning proper holding techniques to practicing chopping methods, every home chef has plenty to learn from this hands-on experience. Chopping and slicing is hard work, so some light refreshments will be served.

Tea, coffee and water will be provided. Guests are welcome to bring non-alcoholic beverages.

This class is suitable for ages 14+ with an adult present. Children under 17 must be accompanied by a paying adult. Class price is per person.

I didn’t have a good experience compared to the other cooking classes I did coz first it’s not chef Ethan and the chef already made the Thai sauce and coconut lime sorbet plus at the end we’re not able to bring our left over home for some liability issues they said plus we didn’t have a recipe printed out she said she will email it but didn’t receive it so overall I can only give 2 stars

Originally from Central Illinois, Chef Ethan studied computer engineering at Southern Illinois University before jumping/falling into the culinary world. He left Illinois for Michigan to study at the Culinary Institute of Michigan where he trained as a pastry chef with amazing instructors who helped the chef find a passion for exploring what’s possible with food. After spending time working in different restaurants and bakeries, Chef Ethan moved into teaching cooking classes, finding a great way to deepen his own culinary skills while helping others develop theirs.
