Learn how to prepare a Japanese-inspired meal with Chef Talia!
In this hands-on cooking class, Chef Talia will teach you how to cook a 3-course Japanese-inspired menu. First, you'll learn how to prepare shishito peppers as a fun, flavorful appetizer. Then, Chef Talia will walk you through the process of perfectly cooking salmon. She'll show you how to create a flavorful sake-miso marinade and give you great recommendations about where to find fresh, high quality fish in the city. You'll also learn the trick to achieving beautiful purple rice and excellent, crisp broccoli.
Finally, you'll create a simple, refreshing dessert consisting of fresh berries dipped in a light matcha cream, subtly sweetened with maple syrup. Chef Talia invites guests to BYOB and is happy to travel to your location in Los Angeles!

Chef Talia is so friendly and a very talented chef and teacher! She puts a special touch on everything, even making tap water beautiful! Her miso-sake salmon dish was wonderfully simple yet still some of the most flavorful pan-fried fish I've had. It was a joy to meet Chef Talia, learn from her, and try her food. She keeps things from being too complex so that you can easily recreate them at home but still adds amazing flavor and style to all of her dishes and has some very inventive recipes! I'll need to try making her matcha whipped cream at home, maybe to serve with a flourless chocolate cake!

I have been in love with food and cooking for as long as I can remember. Growing up on the East Coast, I learned how to cook from my father, and eventually I took this passion to culinary school. My cooking captures global flavors, while utilizing fresh, local ingredients. I believe that food can be exciting, healthy, and luxurious – all at the same time. I look forward to cooking for you!
