Cooking Class - Fresh Handmade Bread and Pastries
Create handmade baked goods that taste as if they've come straight from the bakery.
Join Chef Falyn in baking a variety of fresh bread and sweet pastries in this engaging, hands-on cooking class. Learn the techniques pastry chefs use to create three elevated recipes from scratch.
As you enjoy an amuse-bouche charcuterie board with a variety of meats, cheeses and fruit, you'll make homemade ciabatta bread with a crispy crust and soft inside. Next, make a buttery gĂ¢teau Breton with a velvety strawberry jam inside. You'll finish the class by baking a sweet raspberry lavender clafoutis with tart lemon zest.
Guests are welcome to provide wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Booked this class from 7 to 10. Chef showed up at 5:30 wanting to start at six. Being we all expected to start at 7, my fellow participants had to rush over so we could start at 6:30. Chef Falyn was very sweet, obviously very knowledgeable, and the charcuterie board was nice. She answered all my questions. Chef left at 8 PM. We still had things in the oven. I would’ve liked a heads up that we were going to be starting an hour early; we could’ve accommodated that smoother had it been communicated beforehand. In my previous Cozymeal experience, the chef had brought everything. I’m happy I had everything needed, but a list of what I would need to have on-hand (parchment paper, whisks, mixing bowls and pie plates) beforehand would have also been appreciated. Recipes weren’t shared, so being all the prep work was done beforehand and we only did the last two steps, I didn’t learn anything. I’ve had a cozymeal experience before, so I did expect prepped food, but my previous chef shared the recipe on a piece of paper with a QR code to a YouTube video so we could do it on our own in the future. While I understand why Chef Falyn left early as all active steps were complete and we were just baking the items in the oven, it was unexpected. I paid for a three hour class from 7-10. While the food this night was super tasty, the poor communication and lack of learning made this experience not worth $89 a person. If all I’m really doing is eating something someone else prepped, I can go to a restaurant for a fraction of that price.
