Learn techniques for creating your own sushi and other traditional Japanese fare.

Assembling authentic sushi is a true art form, as you'll learn in this hands-on cooking class with Chef Nancy. She'll demonstrate her time-honored techniques for making sushi from scratch, along with two other classic Japanese recipes.

You'll begin by learning how to prepare perfect rice using a long-established method used by professional sushi chefs. Then, you'll create an array of rolls and nigiri before moving on to crafting teriyaki chicken or beef, followed by a Japanese potato salad with burnt sesame seed dressing. Chef Nancy will send you home with sushi mats used in class.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

As someone doing a class like this for the first time I was a little skeptical. Chef Nancy was welcoming when we arrived and super easy to talk to! We enjoyed her company just as much as we enjoyed the cooking class. She keeps it fun by teaching you multiple different types of rolls and the techniques behind them. We ended up making friends with her more so than her just being an instructor. No stress when it came to cooking, delicious meal, and you leave with a ton of food. Highly recommend
