Learn how to masterfully prepare healthy, flavor-packed meals the Mediterranean way.
With a strong foundation of fruits, vegetables, nuts and beans, cooking the Mediterranean way is both flavorful and healthy. You'll learn how to add Mediterranean flair to your cooking in this interactive hands-on class with Chef Vanessa.
Begin by preparing fresh roasted red pepper and lentil hummus and homemade yogurt flatbread. For your entrée, Chef Vanessa will teach you how to make fattoush salad with minty chicken shawarma meatballs. To finish out this Mediterranean cooking class, you'll prepare creamy spiced rice pudding topped with Persian raisins and slivered almonds for dessert.
Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

If you want a unique dining experience with one of the nicest hosts in the world, book a meal with Chef Vanessa. Chef is pleasant, knowledgeable, grounded and funny. The food was delicious,. the night was well planned and laid out, with flawless and effortless execution. I appreciated Chefs use of authentic north african spices, i guarantee you will learn a thing or two. From the local sourcing to the simple prep and execution, coupled with fun conversations it is an experience you can brag about.

Vanessa was incredibly warm and inviting, creating a really cozy experience for me and my girlfriend. She taught us the steps to make an amazing meal, and even manipulated her menu to accommodate a vegetarian meal. Make sure you bring Tupperware and your appetite as you’ll probably have leftovers! Would certainly recommend Chef Vanessa for anyone interested! Thanks Chef!!
After graduating from culinary school, Chef Vanessa left her corporate accounting career and began a new career as a chef instructor. Since then, she has assumed roles teaching inner-city teens, parents, seniors and cafeteria staff across Massachusetts with a focus of healthy cooking on a budget. Her other past roles included cooking demos for the general public at the Boston Public Market.
