Learn how to create classic comfort food from scratch under the guidance of Chef Katy.
In this hands-on class with Chef Katy, you will learn how to prepare a satisfying three-course menu featuring comfort food. This classic American spread will have you ready to tuck in a gingham napkin, and disregard your preconceived picnic notions.
After preparing deviled eggs with pancetta and harissa, Chef Katy will guide you through breading and frying chicken, and whisking lumps out of a homemade black pepper and milk gravy. Finish your comfort meal with a seasonal apple crisp and vanilla ice cream. It doesn't get more classic American than this!
Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Katy was superb! The food was exquisite & she made my wife & I feel at home. Her home & kitchen is very beautiful & I learned a lot of things from her. I definitely recommend doing your cooking class with her!!! It’s so hands on & informative.

Chef Katy was the most inviting and her kitchen - nearly overlooking Venice Beach is absolutely breathtaking. Not only did she cater to our food allergies but her recipes were downright delicious. Just being in her kitchen was an experience as the large windows, natural sunlight, high ceilings, and trendy design, made the cooking environment incredibly fun; my compact narrow kitchen is a bit depressing. Chef Katy provided all the materials we needed, gave advice on quality cookware items to purchase for at home ventures, and taught in a way that made cooking easy. You wont regret this meal or experience. I highly recommend. P.S. We had so many leftovers :D

Chef Katy showed me, my husband, and our 14 year old a great time. She was kind and knowledgeable. We enjoyed preparing dumplings in her fabulous kitchen and then supping on the fruits of our labor with new friends.
