Learn the intricacies of making and shaping pasta dough in this interactive vegetarian class.
Nearly every diner agrees that freshly made pasta tastes better than the storebought variety, yet few cooks feel up to the task of hand-rolling pasta. In this hands-on class, Chef Jacob hopes to change that by sharing the techniques and history of two popular types of pasta.
The class begins with a fresh, palate-cleansing spinach salad. Next, you'll roll fresh pasta dough into fettuccine and combine it with pesto and pecorino cheese, followed by a bold farfalle pasta al pomodoro. Along with the pasta, both sauces will be made completely from scratch.
Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef Jacob made us feel relaxed and we had fun learning to make Sushi. We also learned about the history & some knife techniques to help make the prefect side dish and sushi rolls. He sent us home with his recipes. We’re exited to impress our friends and family with our new Sushi skills.

After gaining nearly a decade of professional culinary experience in a variety of roles and kitchens, Chef Jacob is now recognized as a local authority on regional Asian cuisine in the San Francisco Bay Area. In addition to working as a private chef and caterer, Chef Jacob is a culinary instructor at a Bay Area cooking school, where he holds court as their in-house Asian cuisine specialist.
