Explore the cuisine of Crete — where locavore is not a trend, but a way of life.
In this hands-on class with Chef Tim, you will learn how to prepare a four-course menu showcasing Crete's beautifully delicious culinary landscape using fresh, high-quality ingredients, and traditional Cretan cooking techniques.
First, Chef Tim will teach you how to prepare an array of Cretan dishes, including a garlicky beet and black eyed pea salad, perfectly spiced baked dakos, a flavor-forward chicken souvlaki with potatoes, and iced orange cookies featuring sesame, cinnamon, and cloves with mint tea for dessert.
Guests are welcome to provide wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef Tim was a great host and served up some amazing dishes! He made me feel right at home in his kitchen and dining room area. We enjoyed music while Chef Tim demonstrated his culinary skills. He answered any questioned I had about the foods and also happily shared some of his culinary background. Every dish was so flavorful, but his blackberry bread pudding was my absolute favorite! He has convenient gated parking at the apartment building and walked me to and from my car. I would love to come back and visit Chef Tim again for another cozy meal!
With more than 20 years in the culinary industry, Chef Tim has worked as a personal chef, and with numerous fine dining restaurants and catering companies across California. His experience includes training under prominent chefs like Suzanne Goin and Dominque Crenn, along with learning the art of breadmaking from his grandmother. One of Chef Tim's most notable culinary achievements is cooking for Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and all of the Avengers.
