Cooking Class - Traditions of Mexican Cuisine
Explore the extraordinary culinary traditions of Mexican cuisine with Chef Luis.
In this hands-on class with Chef Luis, you will learn how to prepare a four-course Mexican menu using traditional cooking techniques and classic ingredients that creatively showcases familiar Mexican flavors you already know and love.
Some of the recipes you can look forward to creating in this class include an authentic Yucatan-style barbecued pork with a uniquely sweet, earthy aroma imparted by the marrying of citrus and achiote, shrimp enchiladas with homemade enchilada sauce, and bone-in roasted pork ribs with homemade salsa verde.
Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef Luis was awesome! We are a family of 4, he came to the AirBnB we were staying at on vacation in Tucson. He arrived exactly on time, brought all ingredients and cooking tools, and was ready for everything. He did a great job explaining the history, the ingredients, and the process. The food was amazing. We would absolutely do this again!

I enjoyed myself tremendously. Chef Luis was really professional and at the same time engaging and patient. I learnt a lot about Mexican cuisine from him. I loved hearing his cooking experiences and expertise. I look forward to learning other cuisines from him!

First time doing a cooking class and Luis was excellent!! He spend the 3 hours making a 4 course meal! It as ALOT of food plus left overs! Luis was very fun and knowledgeable. It was awesome hearing about all his experience he had in different countries as a chef. Definitely would have him again!

Chef Luis is a talented international chef with vast culinary experience that originates from his time growing up and studying in Cuba and Spain. A multi linguist, Chef Luis speaks several languages, including English, Spanish, Italian and French. He considers himself to be an excellent chef sommelier, as he is well versed and knowledgeable in restaurant quality wine and food pairings. Cooking is Chef Luis' life passion, and he looks forward to sharing it with you!
