My partner and I had an incredible experience with such Chef Jessica. The food was delectable and is a recipe we will definitely continue to make at home. I highly recommend Chef Jessica's Taipei 101 class for anyone looking to learn about Taiwanese cuisine or how to make wonton dumplings!

Chef Jessica created a memorable experience for not just my date and I, but for the entire class. She teaches you traditional cooking methods in a relaxed environment (think Gordon Ramsay... now think the complete opposite of Gordon Ramsay, that's her). This was my first cooking class and she made the experience so memorable that I'll definitely be returning. She is the grand daughter of Mama Liang and for those you know this restaurant from the 626 or Liang's Village in Cupertino, you're in for quite a treat!

We had the best time hanging out with Chef Jessica and meeting the other folks in the class while eating SUCH delicious food. All of the dishes were fantastic and there was so much that she even kindly boxed up leftovers for us to take home :) If you are looking to learn about how to cook these Taiwanese dishes and have a great evening/afternoon out as a date/with friends/family, I can't recommend this experience highly enough. We will definitely be using what we learned today in the future! Also it was just such enjoyable company and great conversation on top of everything else! Thank you so much :)

My husband and I LOVED this class! The food was fantastic and Jess was a great teacher. She was very knowledgeable, answered all our questions, gave us lots of tips and did an amazing job preparing everything for our arrival. The kitchen was clean and beautiful and the company was great. We really enjoyed the evening and went home with full bellies and lots of left overs! Jess and Austin also went out of their way to make it a welcoming environment and a nice experience, offering little extra treats along the way. We highly recommend this class! Thanks, Jess. :)
Booked the class Taiwanese Scallion Pancakes with Chef Jessica in San Francisco (Tenderloin)
Chef Jessica was absolutely great! This was our first Cozymeal experience, and she made it so easy, fun and educational. She had everything set up so perfectly well, allowed us to be extremely hands on and gave a number of tips for us to cook at home. The ingredients were all really fresh and good quality, and since there was so much food, she even packed some extra for us to take home. We loved her class, and would definitely check out some of her other ones in the future as well !

If you're not that familiar with Taiwanese cooking and would like to know more about it (you really should!), Chef Jessica is your perfect guide! She's sweet, personable and knows all of her family's secret recipes and techniques. Growing up, working in her Grandmother's restaurant, she learned to fold a mean Wonton (with one hand!) like nobody's business! Her Lou Rou Fan (Taiwanese Braised Pork Rice Bowl) is AMAZING! The savory of the pork and rice combined with the tangy & sweet of the pickled mustard greens is a marvel of flavor and texture! It's Asian comfort food, at it's most delicious! Don't forget about the Wontons in (not) spicy oil. Soft and tasty! She also makes a Scallion Bing that's crunchy and flaky as well as a refreshingly delightful Cold Tofu String Salad! I highly recommend hanging out with Chef Jessica and learn her recipes from 3 generations of Taiwanese chefs! You'll be glad you did!
Reviews Chef Jessica received outside of Cozymeal
Chef Jessica taught us 4 amazing dishes. She provided easy-to-use recipe cards and really went into detail about how those dishes could be recreated at home. The dishes were super delicious and there were even plenty for leftovers! I learned so much about Taiwanese cuisine and extra cooking tips as well. I highly recommend it!
i came across chef jessica's taiwanese cooking class when i was looking for some date ideas - what a fun and delicious evening! chef jessica taught us how to create yummy dishes (that reminded me of home) with such simple ingredients. my favourite dish was the spicy wontons. the sauce was downright heavenly! plus, she gifted us some homemade wonton skins to take home. i'm now excited to try my hand at recreating some of these dishes in my own kitchen!
I was looking for authentic home-style Taiwanese food for a long time . Her family have been in the restaurant business for 10+ years (some of their dishes were their Grandma's recipe!) and I was so glad to know that they are offering cooking class so I can make some of their dishes at home. The studio and small class size was ideal since there's so many aspects and tips involved when cooking a Taiwanese dish. Chef Jessica really took her time to go through how to differentiate the aroma and taste of different ingredients - I learnt so much! Highly recommended since you can prepare the dishes she taught as part of your everyday meal.
Being a regular at her family restaurant, I came to know Jessica and was ecstatic to find out that she teaches in a cooking class! So naturally, I booked a space with her in hopes to learn how to cook authentic Taiwanese cuisine. With Jessica’s 10+ years cooking with her family, it was no surprise to find that Jessica’s guidance in the class was precise, clear, and informative. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience and I can confidently say I learned a few techniques/recipes!
Chef Jessica was attentive and knowledgeable in her guidance to helping us prep and cook her kitchen specials. Attending class is definitely not replaceable by simply following a recipe at home. Her unique experience with food combined with the authentic recipes shared lends a cozy and familiar hometown Taiwan vibe in the kitchen. Must experience!
I had a great time cooking with Chef Jessica and the food tasted great!! As an asian American, I’ve always wanted to learn how to make these classic Taiwanese dishes. Not only did the food taste authentic but chef Jessica made each step easy to follow and fun! I can easily tell chef Jessica has a passion for food and teaching! I hope she brings new dishes to her class because I would love to learn more recipes from her.
I first met Chef Jessica at her authentic Taiwanese Restaurant. She has been in the restaurant industry for over 10 years. She introduced my husband and I to her cooking class where we learned how to cook a several taiwanese dishes. The class was wonderful - it was very intimate and the space was the perfect set up for a cooking class. After the cooking class, I started bring the dishes to potlucks with family and friends, each of the dishes were a hit!! I would definitely recommend her cooking class - she's attentive, detailed, and most of all, cooks amazing food!!!
Chef Jessica's class was amazing. I've known about Chef Jessica from her restaurant. I was really excited to hear she was finally going to teach how to make her delicious spicy wontons and green onion pancakes. I had a great time learning from Chef Jessica and I have finally learned how to make delicious and authentic Taiwanese food. Thank you, Chef Jessica!
