Culinary journey into Persian cuisine with a modern touch made with love.

I invite you to my cozy home where I will be taking you on a culinary journey into Persian cuisine. I will be serving a delicious four-course meal by my fireplace where each course will be a different Persian dish with my own modern touch and presentation of the food. I will wrap up the meal with tea, coffee and a mocktail. Check out the Menu section for a more detailed description of each course.

First Starter

Noon o panir o sabzi: A platter of mixed fresh herbs (basil, mint, tarragon, watercress), walnuts, and imported feta cheese, served with Persian whole wheat sourdough flatbread (sangak).

Second Starter

Kashk Bademjan: Braised eggplant, caramelized onion, sautéed garlic blended together, served with dried sour yogurt (whey), fried dried mint oil and crispy garlic.

Main Course

Braised Eggplant Stew (Khoreshte bademjan): Braised lamb, roasted eggplants, sun-dried tomato, served with basmati rice and crispy Persian rice (tadeeg). NOTE: Upon request, this dish can also be prepared as a vegetarian dish.

Dessert

Baklava cake, (Almond cake) with pistachio ice cream.

Drinks

Non-alcoholic drinks: Soda, water. moctail, tea and coffee. For alcoholic drinks: BYOB.

Side Salad

Shirazi salad: Diced tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, avocado, herbs and lemon vinaigrette.

Most dietary needs accommodated upon request (gluten free, vegan, etc.)

Marjan's food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. The main course, a lamb and eggplant dish was exquisite, as was the appetizer and dessert. I love Persian food!!! I love Marjan's cooking!

Great company, beautiful presentation of the food, delicious meal.I did the tasting for this meal before Marjan joined Cozymeal and I told myself that I would try to book the meal every time she offers it. This was my second time already and I will try to make it again next time.

This was my first time using CozyMeal. My initial hesitation was quickly dismantled by Marjan's warm and friendly invitation to come in. She's truly a great host. We sat down & I got to meet several other cozy mealers. We chatted about the Bay Area and the ever-beautiful San Francisco, and then the first dish was presented to us. I'm an Iranian and I can honestly say I've never seen such a beautiful Persian appetizer in my life. Persian food doesn't usually look this great (though it tastes amazing). The taste was impeccable and only outdone by the main dish and dessert. I stayed longer than I thought because the entire group was having such a great time talking, joking, and laughing. In short, tasty foods, warm atmosphere, great host. I look forward to going back to Marjan's!

Marjan is a Master Chef! It was amazing to try beautifully presented and delicious Persian dishes. This is certainly the best Persian food in San Francisco!

Marjan's food is very elegant. The herb-stuffed fish was noticeably fresh and healthy, and her rice dish the most unique. All with delightfully subtle and pronounced flavors everywhere. The homemade saffron ice cream with pistachio was A-MAZING. I left feeling something like that of a born-again Persian. I now love everything Persian. What a fun night!
