Team Building Activity - Competition-Style Sushi 101

Join Chef Zach for an introductory lesson in sushi creation with this team-oriented, competition-style cooking class.
Discover the magic of rolling sushi alongside your teammates in this hands-on cooking class with Chef Zach. It's the perfect opportunity to explore introductory techniques while getting a little competitive.
You and your team will learn a variety of traditional sushi recipes, including how to make simple sushi rice, a California uramaki roll and hosomaki rolls with tuna. Chef Zach will also show you how to perfectly slice salmon nigiri and whip up green tea crème brûlée with a classic sugary crunchy top for dessert.
Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef Zach was amazing he went over what we were making and made the class fun. He was funny and very knowledgeable about sushi. I liked that what he demonstrated and made he gave us to eat the food.
Meet your chef
After graduating from the Art Institute of California with a degree in culinary arts, Chef Zach relocated to Park City, Utah where he found his niche as a sushi chef. Chef Zach also started his own catering company, which quickly gained popularity after catering parties for the Sundance Film Festival’s many events. Now, Chef Zach is back in San Diego, and the chef and owner of a successful sushi, poke, and fish taco restaurant.
