In this hands-on team building cooking class with Chef Yapo, you will use a bounty of fresh, high-quality ingredients to build a gourmet menu that fuses popular Asian and Mexican recipes and flavors.
Chef Yapo will begin by teaching your team how to make the ever-popular firecracker shrimp appetizer as well as avocado egg rolls. Then, you'll prepare panko lump crab cakes served with a homemade baja crema. Lastly, you'll learn how to make deep-fried ice cream with a cinnamon-cereal crust for dessert.
Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.
Most dietary restrictions can be accommodated if noted prior to the event. Please mention this in the message field when you submit your booking request as adjustments to recipes cannot be made during class.

Chef Yapo was a such an energetic and informative chef who was very patient with all of us family of five! We had a really enjoyable time learning about how to make gnocchi and gnudi and the food turned out awesome! It was a really great experience and my whole family really enjoyed it! Chef Yapo was a consummate professional and a lot of fun! We got to make pasta from scratch - need I say more?! It was a very hands-on experience, we all got to participate and learn in the process. And the food we made was delicious! Good time had by all!

My husband and I learned so much from Chef Yapo about how to peel ginger (i’be been doing it the hard way for years), peel and chop garlic, and how to season fresh fish. Cooking was fun and didn’t feel like a chore. The menu he selected was delicious. We were both so proud of our time in the kitchen and can’t wait to do it again with our family and friends.

Chef Yapo is a true inspiration. I won't ruin the surprise but he has a back story that will knock your socks off. He's a wonderful chef with LOADS of talent and excitement and passion for his food. His gnudi is light and soft and his excitement is palpable. Take his class, you'll learn a lot!
Chef Yapo graduated from San Diego Culinary Institute and quickly learned that he loved talking about food with the customers more than working in the restaurant, so he started working for people directly with local and organic foods in 2009. Chef Yapo enjoys handmade pasta, unique flavors and global fusion flavors, and is very passionate about no-food-waste-cooking and teaching others how to do it.
