This private chef experience offers the quintessential steakhouse fare, freshly prepared in your own home. The supremely talented Chef Mell is an expert at crafting steakhouse fare, so this meat-based meals is sure to provide an unforgettable experience.

You'll start with your choice of salad or seafood starter, before selecting your steak of choice, such as filet mignon or pan-seared New York strip, which Chef Mell will perfectly prepare to your liking. For dessert, you'll enjoy a decadent dish such as salted caramel bread pudding or a classic crème brûlée.

Guests are welcome to provide wine and beer to accompany the menu, and may request pairing recommendations from the chef upon booking.

First, for us it was not a class (as noted in many of the previous reviews) and we knew that going in which is one of the reasons we selected Chef Mell. This was a get-together of friends that had not had a chance to be together for awhile and we wanted a great meal with time to visit. Chef Mell arrived on time, had basically everything to prepare and serve the meal, and cleaned up after himself! The food itself was delicious and perfectly prepared. Chef Mell is upbeat, entertaining, and allowed as much help/hands on as desired. So for those that wanted hands on, (he in our case) could do so while they rest observed and sipped on wine! Highly recommend as a Chef!

Me my boyfriend really enjoyed our time with chef Mell. He kept the communication open from the time he was on his way to our place to get time he got here. Once he arrived and had time to settle in and start cooking, the continued to hit us with delicious dishes one after the other. Filling both our bellies to the very end. Not only was the food delicious but he was very professional and kept a humorous yet open dialogue open the entire time. I would definitely recommend him if you want someone that makes delicious food along with a fun experience that will have you laughing the whole way through.

We’ve had Chef Mell’s pulled pork meals a few times now and they’ve been spot on each time! The pork is always perfect and his rice and beans are some of the best I’ve had. He had smoked wings once and those were great too! Highly recommended.

On the positive side, the food was absolutely delicious! The potatoes tapas were particularly flavorful with an amazing spice blend. We also loved the bacon jam. The disappointments were: 1. It wasn’t a cooking class (we watched the meal being prepared). We had to ask the chef about what he was doing- he wasn’t forthcoming about what he was doing so we could learn from him. 2. Two of the four courses were premade, as were some of the components of the other courses 3. One of those courses didn’t make it to our house, so we only had three courses. We understand this can happen, but we only learned about the missing dish halfway through the meal. 4. It was a bit challenging to keep the conversation going. The chef kept getting take phone calls. 5. The steak tapas were a little light on the meat.

DO NOT RECOMMEND. This wasn't a cooking class, it was the chef cooking in front of us and not allowing us to do anything. He made inappropriate sexual comments and kept eating the food while he was cooking, without washing his hands after touching his mouth. It was very unprofessional. I wanted a cooking class, not this crap. I even asked him if we were going to be able to participate in a COOKING CLASS, and he said no. Don't advertise it as a cooking class if it's not a cooking class!

Food was good, although a bit heavy on the soy sauce for our preference. We would have liked to have more of a hands-on cooking lesson; this was lecture-style with the spring rolls as the only opportunity to "do it yourself." Also, it was hard to learn how to make the dishes on our own when so many components were marinated or otherwise prepared ahead of time.
