Chef Lorenzo transforms the iconic pairing of land and sea into an elegant European menu.

In this private chef experience, Chef Lorenzo presents a unique interpretation of surf and turf inspired by signature ingredients of the Italian countryside with French technique. Begin with buttery vol au vent with salmon and ham. Next up, beef tonnato featuring tender steak in a hearty sauce served with a fagiolini salad. For dessert, enjoy torta della nonna, a creamy Italian tart with almonds.

Guests are welcome to provide wine and beer to accompany the menu, and may request pairing recommendations from the chef upon booking.

Chef Lorenzo was great - friendly, amiable, and filled with great stories about the dishes that he chose. However, we weren't huge fans of the food itself and it wasn't as flavorful as we had hoped.

Chef Lorenzo began cooking at the age of 13 in his home country of Italy, and his grandmothers helped greatly with his home kitchen education. After finishing culinary school, he headed to Australia to expand his skills as chef de partie and sous chef. From there, he moved to America, where he became head chef at eateries in Miami and the Bay Area. But Chef Lorenzo's true passion is teaching others about the real Italian kitchen!
