Booked the menu Ravioli and Italian Favorites with Chef Cregg in Los Angeles (South Los Angeles)
If you can, request Chef Cregg specifically — you will not be disappointed. We gathered at a colleague's home for what turned out to be one of the best team events we've done in a long time. Chef Cregg showed up ready to teach and delivered well beyond what we expected. The menu was impressive from start to finish. We made fresh ricotta-stuffed ravioli with pesto sauce completely from scratch; we also made a gorgeous caprese panzanella salad; and for dessert, an olive oil cake with strawberry compote and fresh basil that tasted heavenly. The real standout was our instruction. Chef Cregg is patient, encouraging, and genuinely passionate — with a natural ability to meet every skill level where they are. Also importantly, he has a sense of humor. Our group ranged from true novices to more experienced home chefs, and everyone stayed engaged and walked away having learned something. Quietly working alongside him was Chef Cory, whose calm, steady presence kept everything running smoothly. They had a way of appearing right where they were needed, offering a helpful hand and encouragement, then seamlessly stepping back — the kind of support you almost don't notice until you realize how effortlessly the whole thing flowed. Hosting 19 colleagues in someone's kitchen could have been chaotic. Instead, it felt relaxed and fun, and that's a credit to both of them. Whatever you're planning — book Chef Cregg.
