Enjoy a gourmet combination of handmade dumplings and authentic Japanese ramen during this culinary experience.

During this private chef experience, Chef Harold will prepare for you an authentic four-course Japanese menu featuring some of the country's most beloved dishes, ingredients and flavor profiles. Some of the dishes you can look forward to enjoying during this experience include Chef Harold's famous beef teriyaki appetizer, Japanese-style dumplings with your choice of filling, shoyu ramen featuring handmade noodles, and sweet green tea mochi for dessert.

Guests are welcome to provide wine and beer to accompany the menu, and may request pairing recommendations from the chef upon booking.

Chef Harold was terrific! We booked this somewhat last minute (less than a month from day of event) for a special 40th birthday surprise dinner with 6 adults (and 1 toddler present half of the meal - till bedtime). We have an open floor plan and we hanging out at the kitchen table and island while Chef Harold started preparing the multi-course meal featuring ramen as the main event. Chef Harold focused on cooking while we had our own conversation (sharing this because some chefs sort of entertain/talk while cooking as part of their shtick, this wasn't his approach - which we really liked for this occasion so we could enjoy ourselves but also in the background see/smell the cooking; seems like he is used to making meals where folks maybe don't even want to be present for the cooking). Chef Harold first reheated the appetizer which he had prepared in advance and then started cooking the other courses which took him some time and that was nice because it helped pace the evening with different courses throughout. We didn't realize the individual ramen bowls would be HUGE so were already full on the earlier courses by time it came (!) and had plenty of leftovers. The food was DELICIOUS and we learned Chef Harold is a really prominent sushi chef who has worked for a number of celebrities etc. We were a bit sad we hadn't picked a sushi menu (but that was for good reason - birthday person doesn't like Sushi). We learned all this while eating the main course as Chef Harold came over to talk with us for a bit after he finished cooking. He was very interesting and friendly and it was great talking with him. He brought his own plastic serving platters/utensils/plates that he then cleaned and took with him (less cleanup for us! Though we did provide some platters to him that we then had to clean after which was no big deal). Highly recommend!

Chef Harold came to our apartment and made us homemade dumplings and ramen which were incredible! He prepared everything and we had a great time relaxing and chatting while he cooked! Chef was wonderful and I would recommend him to anyone looking for a great date idea, or even for an event or special occasion!
