What You’ll Do

Explore the street fare of India in this one-of-a-kind private meal with Chef Radhika.

In this private chef experience, Chef Radhika will prepare sophisticated versions of Indian street food, beginning with pastry shells filled with mashed potatoes, chickpeas and spices, and savory mashed vegetables in a tomato gravy served with bread. Next, you'll enjoy dahi vada, or fritters served with yogurt and chutney, and finish on a sweet note with deep-fried khoya balls soaked in rose-scented, saffron-flavored syrup.

Guests are welcome to provide wine and beer to accompany the menu, and may request pairing recommendations from the chef upon booking.

Raised in India, Chef Radhika learned to cook from her mother, grandmothers and aunts. She was also raised with the ancient Indian tradition of Atithi Devo Bhava — a mantra prescribing hospitality of the highest order. Chef Radhika implements this in all of her cooking classes where she ventures beyond the typical dal and naan and introduces South Indian dishes, such as dosa, idli, vada and healthy vegetarian Indian fare.

Wonderful cooking class, highly recommend! It was a great mix of instruction and learning more about some of the philosophy behind Indian cooking. The saag paneer & naan we made turned out delicious and opened up our eyes to how simple it can be to make great Indian food.

Did intro to Indian cooking with no yeast Naan and sag paneer and it was GREAT! I have always been intimidated by Indian food so this was my chance to learn. This chef was clear, helpful, concise, and her recipes were very easy to follow! I'm so glad I did this one, now im ready to learn more
