Get ready to be transported by Chef Sandi's traditional, unique south of the border menu.
In this hands-on class with Chef Sandi, take your taste buds on a trip south of the border while learning the skills for a simple three-course meal that is anything but simple when it comes to flavor.
Begin by making a refreshing jicama salad sparkling with little red pomegranate jewels. Then, learn the secret to perfectly soft corn tortillas to hold your red mole chicken. You'll also learn how to make a deep fried crispy onion topping as well as earthy, smoky black beans to help bring everything together.
Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Had a great time. Chef Sandi was fun and accommodating and make us feel like old friends The environment was very comfortable and casual. The process was interactive yet extremely simple. We met some other great people as well. And the best part was the delicious food. I would highly recommend for date night, fun with friends, and team building

Chef Sandi was professional, explained in great detail her preparation of each meal. She was well prepared, she answered all of my questions with patience, and a wealth of knowledge. Her culinary skills were superb, the flavors of her red mole chicken tacos left me speechless, the crispy onions were an awesome addition. She’s skilled at combining spices, and flavors that left my palate wanting more. Each dish was an experience that was quite memorable. Her cooking classes will leave you with not just great dishes, but a wealth of knowledge into the culinary experience.
Meet your chef
After graduating from UCLA with a degree in culinary arts, Chef Sandi began working under the direction of Chef Cecilla DeCastro. The experience she gained working for such a talented chef led her to pursue ownership of her own catering company. After 12 years of running it successfully, Chef Sandi sold the business to an employee. Now, Chef Sandi is pursuing her culinary passion by teaching amazing cooking classes!
