Join Chef Jeffery as he gets the party started with some seriously flavorful recipes in a tip of the hat to classic New Orleans cooking.
Start by preparing a staple chicken gumbo made with from-scratch roux, fresh okra, and traditional creole seasonings. The entrée features boat scallops, aptly seasoned and seared in brown butter, laid on a bed of sautéed corn, peppers, celery, and lardons. For dessert, Louisiana bread pudding with French bread, apples, and raisins baked in custard and served in a pool of whiskey Anglais.
Guests are welcome to provide wine and beer to enjoy during the class.
