Discover the elegant simplicity of French crêpe making in this hands-on cooking class. From the first swirl of batter in the pan to the final fold, this session covers the full range of technique behind one of France's most versatile and beloved dishes – both sweet and savory.
You'll learn to mix and rest a classic crêpe batter before developing the swirl and flip on a flat pan, building the feel for thickness and heat that makes the difference between a good crêpe and a great one. The savory course covers a classic ham and Gruyère filling, while the sweet session moves into crêpe suzette – finished with an orange butter sauce. Journey Culinary and chef Deborah Dupuis hosted a private cooking class for my family group of 6. They readily helped arrange a menu alternative to meet a dietary restriction for one of our group. Chef Deborah was friendly and informative as we moved through meal preparation. The Italian meal we created was delicious! The space was intimate and we very much enjoyed the activity together as a family. We plan to go back and we recommend Journey Culinary to others.
