What You’ll Do

Sign your kid up for daily baking projects in this five-day cooking series.

Designed for ages 7-11, this hands-on cooking series in Houston invites young bakers to spend five fun-filled days building real kitchen skills. Guided by Chef Jaken or a professional chef instructor, kids will learn how to measure accurately, mix doughs and batters, shape flaky pie crust and understand how heat transforms ingredients. Throughout the week, they’ll bake muffins, popovers, scones, pizza pinwheels and fruit galettes while gaining confidence through hands-on practice. This cooking series in Houston helps kids develop creativity, independence and foundational skills they can use for years to come.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Really appreciate teaching the basics (safe and effective way to hold the knife) and trying something knew (pumpkin curry soup)

We made soup dumplings and pork wontons. The Chef was incredible in guiding us. She was patient and the assistants were helpful and engaging. 10 out of 10... would recommend.

My class on Monday, December 22nd at 7 PM was not taught by Chef Jaken. It was taught by someone else and she was great. My sons and I really enjoyed the class and look forward to taking another French cooking class or maybe choose a different cuisine to learn. We had an amazing time. Thanks again and see you soon.
