What You’ll Do

Experience Sicilian cooking through fun, partner-friendly recipes.

Enjoy a romantic taste of Sicily in this interactive cooking class in Columbus. With help from Chef Jennifer or a resident chef, you and your partner will shape arancini, cook pasta alla Norma, mix a fresh arugula and fennel salad and churn Aperol spritz gelato. You’ll practice frying, sauce-making and balancing citrus flavors. This cooking class in Columbus offers a fun way to learn authentic Sicilian recipes while spending time together.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef Jennifer has been passionate about cooking since crafting her own meatloaf recipe at age eight. She holds a BA in Art History from the University of Louisville and spent her early career as a visual merchandise manager and scenic artist. After raising three daughters, Chef Jennifer honed her skills further at The Columbus Culinary Institute, earning an Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts. For the past decade, she has worked as a personal chef, media food stylist and chef instructor.

Chicken tenders, Mac and cheese and banana splits!!!! It was fun AND educational!! My only disappointment is that we couldn’t take our leftovers home. It was a great experience for my granddaughter and me!!!

We rolled, cut, and baked chocolate cookies. We also learned to make and use royal icing on those cookies as well as sugar cookies. Was a very informative and fun class. I would definitely recommend this class to anyone and everyone. Even the kids had a great time. I hope to be able to book other classes in the future. Thank you for a great experience.

I loved the class. The ladies I was paired up with were a little chatty so was hard to listen to chef! Before class, I was very intimidated but after class I was I got this! Excited to try making fresh pasta myself! Great class over all, would definitely take again!

Chef Jennifer was not even our Chef. Wasn’t as hands on as expected. Basically we did a little chopping and mixing. Chefs did a lot of it for you. Not enough food for 4 people. Had to go out to dinner after the class was over.
