Cooking Class - Build a French Bistro Meal

What You’ll Do

Turn crisp evenings into elegant French bistro nights.

Master the art of French bistro cooking in this hands-on cooking class in Houston. With guidance from Chef Jaken or one of the talented resident chefs, you’ll sear cast iron steak and create a rich red wine sauce, then prepare creamy truffle mashed potatoes and a crisp endive and radicchio salad with champagne vinaigrette. For dessert, you’ll make a warm pear tarte Tatin from scratch. This cooking experience in Houston is a great way to sharpen your skills and enjoy an elegant meal!

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

This class is suitable for ages 14+ with an adult present. Children under 17 must be accompanied by a paying adult. Class price is per person.

Born into a family of cooks and chefs, Chef Jaken has always had a strong passion for food. After attending culinary school, he began his professional career, learning a variety of culinary trades from gourmet chefs. Chef Jaken has created his own cooking techniques over the years and continues to push himself past his limits in the kitchen. He looks forward to passing on his knowledge and skills through immersive cooking classes.
