Cooking Class - Baking Classics from Britain

Bake your way to British baking excellence creating timeless favorites.

Explore the rich tapestry of British baking in this immersive cooking class. Participants will master the techniques to create beloved classics, such as the ethereal Victoria Sponge Cake, a sumptuous toffee-infused pudding cake and flaky, savory sausage-stuffed puff pastry rolls. Uncover the time-honored traditions that define these iconic baked goods.

Tea, coffee and water will be provided. Guests are welcome to bring non-alcoholic beverages.

This class is suitable for ages 14+ with an adult present. Children under 17 must be accompanied by a paying adult. Class price is per person.

We had Chef Brendan for the 7:00 PM class on 8/16. First off, this was a blast. There was a wide gamut of skill sets there, from newbies to people with plenty of experience. The chef did a fantastic job of leading this class, making everyone feel capable, and excited to eat the food! As someone who loves to cook, I learned eggs are denatured by sugar, how to poach eggs, and mustards helps emulsify oil. And this is the first thing I’ve cooked in so long that didn’t have garlic in it: I love garlic but what a cool thing. Plus, my date is a self proclaimed amateur in the kitchen and she genuinely enjoyed this. She’s gonna try one of the things even tomorrow. Hey Chef Brendan, I’m sorry I talked a lot with the person next to me about Reno! You did a great job. I’m looking forward to the next one.
