Cooking Class - 5-Day Foodie Fun Teens: Menu Challenge

What You’ll Do

A week's worth of foodie fun for teens and tweens.

Introduce your teen to the joys of culinary art with this cooking series. Under the guidance of a chef instructor, they'll spend five days learning kitchen safety, organization skills, basic food prep and a variety of delicious recipes. These summer cooking classes feature skills such as steaming rice, rolling sushi, piping frosting, flipping pancakes and roasting hearty vegetables. To celebrate their success, students receive a graduation certificate and a printed menu at the end of the week.

Classes typically run for two to two and a half hours, unless specified otherwise. Group work is a key component; kids can expect to collaborate with four other students. The class involves standing, cooking and active participation throughout. Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are required and long hair should be securely tied back for safety. Please note that these are drop-off classes. Parents do not stay during the classes.

I had such an amazing experience in cooking class! Even though I was the only student that day, Brealynn made it feel like a full class. She has such a wonderful energy and made me feel completely at ease, helping calm my nerves and build my confidence in the kitchen. We made chicken fried steak, broccolini, and mac & cheese — and everything turned out so delicious! The two hours flew by because it was such a fun, engaging, and encouraging experience. What really stood out was how generous Brealynn was with her time and knowledge. She shared extra tips, offered her contact information in case I have questions when cooking on my own, and made sure I left feeling successful. Even her colleagues were also so kind and welcoming. Overall, this class exceeded my expectations in every way. I left inspired and excited to cook again — I’ll absolutely be back for another class soon!

This was such a fun class. I loved how interactive it was and Chef Craig always gives the best knowledge on using the cooking skills at home.
