Cooking Class - Teens 3-Day Summer Series: World Bakes

What You’ll Do

Explore recipes and techniques from across the globe in this immersive experience.

If your teen loves to bake and wants to explore new flavors, then check out this hands-on cooking series where teens aged 12 and older will get to explore recipes and new baking techniques inspired by international flavors and pastries. Whether they’ve taken summer cooking classes before or this is their first time, they’re sure to learn lifelong skills they’ll appreciate forever. Plus, each teen chef will get to take home their own printed menu and graduation certificate at the end of the series.

Classes typically run for two to two and a half hours, unless specified otherwise. Group work is a key component; kids can expect to collaborate with four other students. The class involves standing, cooking and active participation throughout. Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are required and long hair should be securely tied back for safety. Please note that these are drop-off classes. Parents do not stay during the classes.

Our chef for our cooking class was 5/5! The food quality was also exceptional. The 3/5 is for CozyMeal. I specifically did not get a Sur La Table gift certificate and instead went for CozyMeal as a gift because after reading reviews of SlT I wasn’t happy with their set up and reviewer experience. I was hopeful that CozyMeal would have chefs set up differently and have it be more individual or couple focused and not group work focused. We signed up for our class and not until it was fully booked and a few days away did we see that it was at Sur le Table. We had a great time and the food was excellent but the expectations of concerns were definitely played out. We probably will not use CozyMeal again.

Our chef Lyn was professional, patient and humorous during class. My son paid for the class as a birthday gift for my sister and me. We had a ball and have been recommending the class to all our friends.

Chef Lisa led a great Italian cooking class that I thoroughly enjoyed. Not only did she make it fun, but I learned so much about proper cooking techniques. I plan to attend more classes.
