Cooking Class - 5-Day Foodie Fun Kids: Fresh-Baked Flavors

What You’ll Do

Young chefs will learn how to craft treats better than the local bakeshop.

Explore the sweet and savory world of baking in this hands-on cooking series. Designed for kids 7-11, these fun summer cooking classes are meant to improve creativity and confidence in the kitchen while creating delicious baked goods. Small chefs will learn how to make the perfect crêpe and fill it with sweet fresh fruit. They'll bake and decorate a cake using professional techniques. Plus, they'll learn food prep and kitchen safety skills. Students will take home printed recipes so they can show off their new cooking skills at home.

Classes typically run for two to two and a half hours, unless specified otherwise. Group work is a key component; kids can expect to collaborate with four other students. The class involves standing, cooking and active participation throughout. Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are required and long hair should be securely tied back for safety. Please note that these are drop-off classes. Parents do not stay during the classes.

class was fun. but very light and fluffy. big disappointment is not having the correct containers to bring things home! you just taste while there and then leave everything

The class was well organized and moved at a good pace. I was not impressed with Chef Dan. He didn’t seem to enjoy what he was doing; he didn’t show us anything new or different in regards to cooking. He walked around with paper recipes and read the steps from them.
