Cooking Class - From-Scratch Holiday Tamales

What You’ll Do

Master the basics of homemade tamales with two flavorful fillings.

Corn tamales are a traditional food of celebrations across much of Latin America, but you can create and enjoy them any day you please. Guided by an expert, you will mix and spread your own corn masa, the base for this Mexican dish. Prepare two mouthwatering fillings, a seasoned pulled pork in green mole and a vegetarian option with poblano peppers in pasilla sauce. Layer dough and filling before wrapping and steaming the corn husks and enjoy with a cup of champurrado, Mexican hot chocolate.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

This class is suitable for ages 14+ with an adult present. Children under 17 must be accompanied by a paying adult. Class price is per person.
