Sharpen your cooking skills and pick up a few new techniques in this hands-on cooking class with Chef Tera. Your menu is inspired by the best ingredients from the land and sea.

Begin by handcrafting crab cakes and a sweet chili aioli followed by a classic Caesar salad with anchovies and homemade croutons. Then, learn how to expertly sear New York strip steak and jumbo garlic butter prawns for an elevated surf and turf. End on a sweet note as Chef Tera shows you how to pair seasonal fruit with vanilla mascarpone.

Guests are welcome to provide wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

The chef rushed through a 2.5 hour class so it was only 1.5 hours. She did not have the shrimp which was why we booked the Surf and Turf class. She used a box mix to make the crab cakes and spice mixtures and prepackaged/measured ingredients and never really told us how much was in them or sent us any recipes. She told us to cook on very high heat a one inch extremely lean steak (that she said was NY strip, but did not seem like it) for 4-5 minutes per sided so it was incredibly dry and tough. When it was all gray inside she told us we did not have the heat high enough. She did not stay to finish the desert and brought a prepackaged fruit cup that had browning and smushed berries in it. She was nice, but incredibly unprofessional. She said she would send us a coupon for not having the shrimp and never did. We would like a refund.

Chef T was great. As soon as she arrived we knew we were in for a treat. She got right to work showing us how to to prep for our meal before getting started. She made the experience fun and educational. While preparing each entrée, she encouraged us and showed us how to prepare to our own specifications. Will recommend to my friends and family.
