Cooking Class - Gluten-Free Sushi Classics

What You’ll Do

Learn how to properly roll sushi, make sushi rice and much more with Chef Ricky.

You'll learn how to make three types of vegan, gluten-free sushi in this sushi-making class with Chef Ricky. Each roll features unique ingredients for a special tasting experience.

First, you'll prepare a vegan "tuna" tataki featuring watermelon and sweet soy glaze. After cooking the perfect sticky sushi rice, you'll prepare fillings for each sushi roll, including jackfruit, avocado, eggplant and more, and Chef Ricky will show you professional techniques to properly roll sushi. Finally, you'll prepare (then enjoy!) traditional mango sticky rice.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef Ricky is super knowledgeable and passionate about his trade. Literally I felt like I was learning so much I had to take photos and movies to help remember it all. He has a great teaching demeanor and was patient with our questions The course is well organized and the location ( although I wish it was closer to st Pete) was very conducive to participating. We utilized many of his tools and had room to circulate allowing a true hands on experience We left with our stomachs full and our palates better trained to truly appreciate good sushi Highly recommend Herb James
