Slow your roll and learn the basics to handcrafting classic sushi rolls right at home.
In this hands-on class with Chef Daniel, you will learn the basics of rolling, cutting, and preparing a spectacular spread of classic sushi rolls and more using fresh, high-quality ingredients, and traditional Japanese sushi-making techniques.
Chef Daniel will begin by teaching you how to brew a traditional miso soup. Then, you will learn basic Japanese knife skills and proper rice preparation procedure so you can prepare California rolls, New York rolls, and vegetarian rolls before ending on a sweet note with hand-rolled mochi ice cream for dessert.
Guests are welcome to provide wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Originally from Germany, Chef Daniel considers himself a freestyle culinarian, drawing inspiration from the classics as well as modern culinary trends. His ongoing passion for connecting with people through food led him to earn a culinary arts degree and become an ACF Certified Executive Chef. Today, Chef Daniel is the chef and owner of a local cooking school, and hosts private dinners, and teaches interactive cooking classes.
