The basic cooking series consists of Wednesday cooking classes providing you enough information and hands on cooking to get you feeling more comfortable in the kitchen.
We'll talk about setting things up for efficiency and ease of use. We'll try different preparation and cooking techniques so you can figure out what works for you. And we'll make food all along the way so you can gain the confidence needed to start making dinner at home. At the end of the class, we will all sit down and enjoy the meal we prepared.
See the menu for individual class details. Take individual classes or the series.
Each 3-hour cooking class session is $75, if you book all three sessions, you pay only $200 in total.

I was part of a group of seven who took this cooking class with Douglas and it was a fantastic experience! We learnt new techniques, had great food and a wonderful time! I look forward to the next class I will be taking with Douglas.
Chef Douglas is amazing! I loved hearing the stories behind the dishes we were cooking. He was great about giving suggestions/modifications for dishes and even informed us where we could buy certain ingredients for the recipes. He was warm, funny and enthusiastic with our group. I can't wait to do it again!
We had an absolutely fantastic time with Chef Douglas and Scott. Every course of our meal (we made the Halibut) was incredibly delicious and so well thought out. Chef Douglas did a fantastic job of guiding and teaching our group throughout the night and made the whole experience both entertaining and educational. This was, without a doubt, one of the best dates my girlfriend and I have had in San Francisco.
Our first experience with Cozymeal was with Chef Douglas and we loved it! The recipes were great and the food was delicious. The Chef made us feel at home and shared many culinary stores and cooking tips. The experience itself felt like dining with a friend while learning to cook.
Fantastic time as always. I appreciate you opening up your home for us. I was not able to get the recipes on the way out, would it be possible to send them to me?
I have over 30 years of professional restaurant and cooking experience, initially working in Maine and later moving to California. I had the good fortune to study with the founders of the French Laundry for many years. I cook meals for groups of guests and offer cooking classes both of which have been very popular in San Francisco. I continue to travel to Southern Europe to find new ideas and explore the culinary traditions that mix well with California-style cooking.
