In this fun and informative class, you'll learn the many differences between macaroons and macarons.

If you're a passionate home baker with knowledge in pastry making and are looking for a fun way to upgrade your skills, learn how to make classic French macarons and their famous American counterpart, macaroons, in this fun and interactive class with Chef Lisa.

In addition to baking and enjoying both of these delightful confections, you'll also learn how to make no-bake chocolate macaroons with cashew butter and apricot jam. At the end of the class, you will leave with a box of your culinary creations and a personalized macaron recipe, ready to be recreated in your very own kitchen.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

We took a class on a highly technical baking project, French macarons with Chef Lisa. It is hard to overstate what a great experience this was! Chef is part instructor, part motivator, and part scientist. She didn't just talk at us, but made sure that we were hands-on doing the work the whole time, and this gave me great confidence that I truly *can* do what we learned after the fact! She always made sure to give the feedback that we can (and are) going in the right direction, which is important. She was also super knowledgeable about the science behind the food, and gave all the details, and was able to answer any question we thought of. Being able to pick the brain of a real chef is a super useful aspect of the whole experience. I also want to say that you could tell from the little things that weren't listed in the course description that she has a passion for hospitality, and making sure her guests have a good time. 100% you will not regret one second of time spent in her classes!

We made macarons and 2 other cookies (amaretti and a no bake coconut cookie). The class was a birthday present for my 11 year old daughter and Chef Lisa was amazing with her (and even altered what she had planned to bake with us to accommodate my daughter). We had a wonderful time and learned a lot!

Chef Lisa greatly exceeded my expectations! Her vast knowledge in the culinary arts was prevalent in every answered question and explained technique. She was incredibly kind, patient, and personable throughout the class. Though it was a very educational few hours, Chef Lisa's humor made learning feel like play. I'm so happy with my experience overall and will most definitely recommend this class to everyone I know!
