Cooking Class - Pot Stickers and Steamed Buns
There's something extraordinary about biting into a perfect dumpling— the tug of dough, the burst of steam, that first hit of flavorful filling. In this hands-on class with Chef Fumiko, you will learn just how easy it is to handcraft this experience in your kitchen.
You will begin by making the dough for Chinese steamed buns completely from scratch before filling and steaming them with ground pork or bean thread noodles and vegetables. Then, working with pot sticker wrappers, you will create pot stickers and learn how to cook them to a perfect crisp on one side and soft perfection on the other. You will have a choice of ground beef or vegetarian filling. All selections include steamed cinnamon rolls as a dessert.
Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.
