Chef Landi began his foray into the restaurant industry over 20 years ago as a server in Italy, and quickly found himself working in the kitchen, learning the skills and techniques that have been foundational to his now successful culinary career. In 2001, Chef Landi moved to the U.S. and discovered a newfound passion for teaching. Now, he is both a chef at an Argentinian steakhouse and a lauded culinary instructor.

We had a great evening with Chef Landi in Philly! I bought this experience for my husband for Valentine’s Day, not really knowing what to expect. Far exceeded our expectations! Chef Landi was fun, welcoming, and engaging. His menu was perfect, even adjusting it for vegetarians. The class size of 6 was perfect and all the participants were lovely. The kitchen space was comfortable and easy to work at. We had a blast and ate until we were stuffed. Will definitely do this again in the future!

What an amazing experience!! Chef Landi was skilled, patient and kind. The portions were great and everything was so tasty! There was enough of a portion to have a to go box but I stuffed my face lol. I’m a foodie and pretty knowledgeable about proper chef techniques and he was amazing. I’ll be booking again !!

Chef Landi was so sweet and an amazing instructor! My boyfriend and I got very lucky to have a private event as the other people had cancelled. Chef Landi took his time explaining and demonstrating everything while also allowing us to do it ourselves. We had an amazing time making all of the dishes. Everything was delicious. His menus are always delicious and easy to replicate at home, and he really tries to involve everyone in the experience. Chef Landi was a great and I’ll definitely be making these dishes at home. I felt the others in our group were pretty rude and inconsiderate, but he didn’t rush anyone despite going well over the intended class time. He explained why he did things as he went, how you could change the recipe if you wanted a different flavor, and even supplied boxes to take home leftovers. Very friendly, patient, and kind. The food was absolutely delicious and was a perfect date night with my boyfriend. He plated and served our meals which were extremely tasty. This was our first time doing this. I got this experience for my wife as a Christmas present. I must say it was superb! Chef Landi was amazing. He was very personable and an excellent teacher. The food was absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend this for a date night out, especially if you like to cook like we do.

This was a perfect date night for me and my partner, from the moment we walked into chef Landi’s home he was amazing. He walked us through all the steps to prepping our southern Italian dinner, making sure that we were using proper technique when holding the chef knife. We had the absolute best time with Chef Landi! I can't say enough great things about him! We made the most delicious meal including bruschetta, mushroom soup, seafood pasta and crepes! We had an unforgettable experience with Chef Landi! He was very welcoming, kind, and patient with us as we navigated the recipes together. He was willing to teach us and show us new techniques to prepare the recipes and for us to use in our everyday meal prep. We didn't feel pressure as beginners during the prepping and cooking process and the whole evening was very low key. Everything turned out delicious! What a great time! Chef Landi is personable, highly skilled and informative, while he hosts and delivers a cozy dinner environment. He observes the skill and comfort level of his guests, adjusting his instruction to them as the group learns and prepares the meal. So much different from a basic night out at a restaurant, this was a great way to spend an evening over good food, wine and conversation.

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of attending the Southern Italy on a Plate cooking class at Chef Landi's home in South Philadelphia this weekend, and we couldn’t have asked for anything more. From the moment we arrived, Chef Landi made us feel incredibly welcome, sharing stories and insights into the cuisine and culture of Southern Italy, as well as his home country of Albania. Chef Landi’s knowledge of Italian cooking was evident throughout the class. He walked us through each recipe while explaining the techniques, ingredients, and tips that made each dish work perfectly. We began with a Caprese salad for an appetizer, learning how to properly layer the fresh tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil, then topping it with homemade pesto and a balsamic glaze. For the entree, we made Potato Gnocchi Bolognese. Step by step, he showed us how to make the Bolognese sauce and then how to roll, cut, and shape the Gnocchi's from scratch. We finished the meal with a Vanilla Crème Brulé, which was exceptional. What really stood out was Chef Landi’s ability to make everyone feel comfortable in the kitchen, whether they were experienced cooks or beginners. He was patient, approachable, and attentive, ensuring that everyone had a great time and left with new culinary knowledge. We highly recommend Chef Landi’s Southern Italy on a Plate class to anyone looking to dive into authentic Italian cuisine. We had a great time. His house fits up to 6 people for a class but there are other options for bigger groups. Thanks Chef!

Chef Landi provided an unforgettable experience with his Italian-American cooking class, welcoming us into his home like family. From start to finish, the evening was filled with incredible food, engaging conversation, and a warm, inviting atmosphere. Booked Chef Landi’s class for my boyfriend’s birthday, we had a great time! Chef had everything prepared for us and showed us how to make a delicious salad, homemade ravioli with vodka sauce and lava cake. My boyfriend said it was better than going out to a restaurant (& I agree)! Overall it was a great date night and would definitely recommend. Thanks Chef Landi!

Chef Landi is personable and very knowledgeable. Appreciated his instruction in how to make pasta, which I never tried to do before. Also, helpful to learn how to use a knife to cut tomatoes and other ingredients. Most of all just appreciated Chef Landi, who is very down to earth and made this, my first experience, a memorable one. We will highly recommend him to family and friends. Thank you, Chef!

Chef Landi's Italian cooking class was an absolute delight! We learned how to make a classic Caprese Salad, fluffy homemade gnocchi (tastier than any restaurant version!), and a decadent Vanilla Crème Brûlée – all dishes that will impress at my next dinner party.
Chef Landi's expertise shone through. He explained each step clearly, offering tips and tricks that elevated our cooking game. But the class wasn't just informative, it was a blast! Chef Landi's infectious enthusiasm and witty humor kept the atmosphere lively and engaging.

Chef Landi was such a lovely human. His story (which is far from over! We can’t wait to keep in touch and eat at his restaurant, read his book, and listen to his podcast❤️), his interest in my partner and I’s stories (she studied abroad very close to where Chef Landi was from and they had a blast with their Italian and Albanian reminiscing☺️), as well as of course his amazing teaching skills in the kitchen made for an unforgettable night.

I could not have asked for a better experience than with Chef Landi. We were a group of six and he was so patient with us and did not rush the process. The Vegan Mediterranean Menu was simply delicious! We made FRESH pasta and it was so much fun. I would 100% do it again and I can't recommend Chef highly enough! Chef Landi’s cooking class was a great experience! You are joined with other guests in a aesthetically pleasing, intimate, and cozy loft and then get the chance to hear about Chef’s experience and stories while you collaborate to make a really tasty and delicious meal! He had a lot of new cooking tips to share and answered all of our questions! 10/10 food and experience great for dates, birthdays, or for fun!

Chef Landi was fabulous! The food/recipes were excellent and we enjoyed being actively engaged in making the ravioli, salad and dessert. There were just 6 participants, including the 4 of is, and that was just right! I would loved to do another class, or have us cook for us, again! Bravo, Chef Landi!

Chef Landi is really friendly and professional. My wife and I had really fun and learned alot. Chef Landi is really attentive and gives detailed demonstrations and 1 on 1 help. The muscles and gnocchi were also really delicious. Would highly recommend this course.

This was definitely more than a cooking class. It was an unforgettable experience created by Chef Landi. From the time we arrived until the time we left, Chef went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. He kept the cooking and the conversation flowing. The class was very interactive on both a group and individual level. It is obvious how passionate and knowledgeable Chef is about cooking and food in general. There were so many little tips Chef Landi shared that we will be incorporating when we cook at home. It definitely is a learning experience for all whether you are a beginner or expert cook. If you are even considering taking one of Chef Landi's classes, do not hesitate. I guarantee you will not regret it. You won't just cook a dish, you will make a masterpiece of flavor. Chef Landi is a treasure. He is so personable and fun. The food was incredible and his home was welcoming and warm. I was there for a valentines treat with my husband and this was the perfect date!! However there was a beautiful young girl in her 20’s there who came alone and fit right in so you don’t need to be in a couple to enjoy this adventure. It was just lovely, start to finish. And what a finish. (Banana bread pudding) * the chef was easily able to adapt the menu for an allergy too and that was super helpful and noteworthy

Chef Landi was great! He explained everything he was doing well. He answered questions that were related to the meal, as well as questions that were tangential to the activity at hand (e.g. questions regarding how to make the meal vegan friendly, common vegan friendly ingredients, etc.). Upon request, Chef Landi even kindly put on the Eagles football game for us (the game started toward the end of our dinner).

I went in with low expectations but my gosh Chef Landi is great. While teaching us how to make each dish, he’s getting to know us. He’s patient, easy to follow and very professional. Loved this meal! So happy I signed up. Can’t wait to make it on my own.

Chef Landi was so lovely! We didn't know what to expect and it was even better than we had hoped. The food was amazing and it was really nice to have someone actually teach you how to cook. Chef Landi was great, and this experience was 100% worth it! I booked pretty far in advance, about two months, which is necessary since Chef Landi's classes are so popular. We arrived about 10-15 minutes before the start time, which I learned was probably a bit early. I think it is ideal to arrive about 5 minutes ahead of time so you can get in and settled, open your wine (or drink of choice that you brought with you to accompany your meal), and chat with the chef a bit. Chef Landi was thorough and took his time throughout each of the four courses. He provided tips and tricks on cooking in general, knife skills, and everything in between. He was so friendly, answered every single question we had, and told us stories of his experiences in Albania, Italy, and the US. The other people that were in our class were a great addition to the experience! We had fun getting to know each other, chatting, and learning to cook the courses together. I would recommend this class 10 time out of 10! Enjoy!

Chef Landi was wonderful. He made us all feel very welcome and comfortable. His teaching style is very warm and accessible, making everyone feel like they can do everything, easily. This was the most INCREDIBLE experience! Chef Landi was a joy to meet and so incredibly knowledgeable in all areas of the kitchen. The meal was cooked to perfection and we learned so much about Italian cooking. The atmosphere & the company were awesome and Chef Landi made us feel right at home. The food, the chat and the overall experience was awesome! We made gnocchi, caprice salad, crème brûlée. Chef Landi gave us great tips and the food was so delicious. He made us feel cozy at his kitchen! We will try other cuisines with him and definitely will recommend to our friends. Thanks Chef!

I attended this class with my best friend and our moms. We had the absolute best time! Chef was amazing and his home is very welcoming and cozy. The food exceeded our expectations and I can’t say enough good things about our experience. I highly recommend!

my son and i loved the class! chef landi is funny and informative and incredibly patient and gracious with his time.
he taught us good techniques, some food science, and showed us a few tricks that made things much easier. we had a great time. It's was a fun and educational experience and i definitely recommend doing this amazing class with an amazing chef

The class was so amazing! It was my second time going for the same meal and we had an amazing experience once again. Chef landi gave us so many tips on cooking different meals and taught us how important cooking is!! And the meal was soo amazing. I would definitely go back again in the future for a third time!

Chef Landi was awesome! When we arrived he greeted us and shared his cooking experiences which was very interesting.
Everything for the meal was prepped. He explained the recipes as we cooked and shared details with each course. Chef Landi has a warm, witty personality and a beautiful smile. The meal was delicious. We will definitely be suggesting booking a dinner with Chef Landi to our friends & family.

It was a highly entertaining evening with engaging, hands-on lessons in the culinary arts. I appreciated the clear and thorough instructions that came with a side of humor. Chef Landi was absolutely wonderful. He was kind and patient and worked with us (both of which were inexperienced beginners). We learned very practical skills such as chopping, making sauces, and best pairings for certain food items. Chef Landi makes his guests feel right at home. Although we were with another couple we didn't know, Chef Landi did a great job of involving us both in activities and it ended up being a wonderful night! The food was also amazing! The mussels were great, the pasta was incredible, and the dessert was lovely. We learned a lot and will definitely be scheduling again with Chef Landi!

We had a wonderful time with Chef Landi! He is so warm, welcoming, and fun! Besides the amazing food and excellent cooking tips, Chef Landi went above and beyond for my partner (a vegetarian) to whip something up on the spot so he could still enjoy the non-vegetarian part of the meal, and it was delicious! We had such a wonderful time with Chef Landi. He creates such a homey and comfortable place to watch and participate in making this excellent yet simple meal. He clearly loves his work and made it accessible and enjoyable. Each dish was fantastic in its own right and they all worked well together - the mushroom soup was outstanding as were the pureed parsnips, salmon with lovely sauce and drizzles of truffle oil to make everything better. We'll be cooking all of the and will be back for more lessons!! Thank you.

We just left Chef Landi’s for his Southern Italy gnocchi class and it was AMAZING. The food was absolutely incredible, he was a fantastic host, and the other 4 guests were great company. We would absolutely recommend! Hopefully all other CozyMeal chefs are as good, because we plan on visiting some others! Wonderful experience!

I have 0 cooking skills or experience and really enjoyed my evening with Chef Landi. He gave some basic tips and suggestions for chopping vegetables, sautéing, some best practices when preparing pasta and sauces and was really kind and patient with our small group. The meal we prepared was delicious and I definitely feel empowered to (poorly) attempt these dishes again at home ?. Chef Landi was a very gracious host with a great apartment, to boot. I felt very comfortable being in his space. My girlfriend and I shared the experience with another couple we did not know beforehand, but just by virtue of the small and intimate space, we were fast friends for the evening. I definitely reccomend this experience to anyone who wants to plan a fun date night or celebrate with family and friends. Thanks again, Chef Landi!

Our kids gave us a gift card for Cozymeal and we were fortunate enough to select Chef Landi and his Italian menu for our dinner. Chef Landi's skills in the kitchen were amazing. He was engaging and warm and was not intimidating as you may expect. His personality set the stage for fun and laughter. His ability to create a relaxing and engaging environment gave me the knowledge to go home and make this fabulous dinner for my friends. I would highly recommend Chef Landi for a couples, friends or family night. Very worthwhile.

My dad and I had the most amazing experience with Chef Landi. I had bought this for my dad’s birthday a few months ago and we weren’t exactly sure what to think going into it, but it exceeded our expectations. The food was beyond delicious and Chef Landi was very throughout at explaining the steps of each course. I was really happy to even take home a few tips (something as simple as cutting onions) as well. I can’t wait to book another experience with him!

My dad, brother, and I had a great experience with Chef Landi. The meal that he showed us how to cook was awesome. More importantly, he took the time to show us how he was preparing each part of the meal and made sure to answer each of the many questions that we were rapid firing at him. He also gave great general tips for cooking and had us learn by doing things ourselves. You can tell that Chef Landi actually enjoys teaching others how to cook. This was hands down one of my favorite date nights ever! I surprised my boyfriend with this class, and Chef Landi was incredible. Chef Landi is not only a skilled chef but also a talented teacher who is remarkably knowledgeable about cooking and curious about the world around him. He's personable and welcoming and was happy to answer all the questions had about different techniques or about what we were making! Chef Landi was a wonderful teacher. He told us all about his journey through life, coming to America from Albania through Canada. The class was very intimate and the food was wonderful. Learned a ton about how to make pasta, he was glad to answer our questions even about stuff we weren’t making at the time. Overall it was a great evening with interesting conversation, and we were very happy to have met chef Landi!

Chef Landi was absolutely phenomenal! He was patient and so willing to teach. He was so knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. It was great to get to know him and his cultural experiences in the kitchen. His passion and joy for being in the kitchen and sharing his love with others was central to our memorable experience. His class was so much more than learning a recipe; we gained a new perspective and it opened a world of experiencing food in a new way. I look forward to recommending him to my friends and family, and I will definitely be back for another class soon!

Chef Landi is incredible! He was so kind and so enthusiastic throughout the entire experience. It was a very intimate, personal instruction on a meal that you get to eat as well. Best meal I’ve ever had! He was accommodating to allergy needs (reach out to him ahead of time, but he will be no matter what). Overall an absolutely amazing experience and I recommend to anyone visiting or that even lives in Philly! 10/10!

My girlfriend and I had a fantastic time with Chef Landi this afternoon for our anniversary. Our experience started on time, and Chef Landi had everything prepared beforehand -- he even made his own tomato sauce, pesto, and stock for us to incorporate into our meals.
Chef Landi is extremely conversational, and makes all individuals regardless of their past cooking experience feel very comfortable. He teaches technique, provides practical tips, and shares stories about his life experiences and from cooking with Cozymeal.
We really appreciated Chef Landi's attention to maintaining a COVID-19-friendly environment that was extremely clean, masked, and socially-distanced. He also encouraged photos for those that like to snap away.
Overall, 10/10 experience and will definitely be coming back (maybe with some friends) to try another menu.
PS -- the creme brulee was to die for.

Fun class chef Landi is very knowledgeable and helpful. My wife and I had a blast. He accommodated on the fly even when my wife couldn't have certain things. Never complained just made the change a real chef only does that. Very nice and humble man and I wish him all the best.

One word to describe this experience.. AMAZING! My husband and I wanted to do something special to celebrate our anniversary and decided to do the seafood pasta cooking class. This was one of the greatest experiences we've had. Chef Landi made us feel right at home and the food was incredible. Myself and 3 friends were looking for an awesome, out of the box cooking experience and Chef Landi delivered all that and more. He was extremely welcoming to us and made us feel comfortable right away. We learned so many helpful tips that we will take with us into our own kitchens, and he even had printed out recipes of all the food we made ready for us to take with. On top of it all, the food we made (creme brûlée, caprese salad, and gnocchi Bolognase) was some of the BEST food we’ve ever had. We would highly recommend Chef Landi and would absolutely go back to cook with him again. Thanks Chef Landi for an awesome night!

Great food and better company! My boyfriend surprised me for my birthday with a Cozy Meal Reservation and words can't explain how much I enjoyed the experience! Chef Landi provided an amazing step by step lesson to create the dish that was easy, informative and fun. The experience as a whole was intimate, intentional and a 10/10 experience I would recommend to everyone I know ( which I already am ). We enjoyed the food, which was delicious, but what brought it over the top was Landi's energy and personality that was such a pleasure to be around! This is a must!! We plan on scheduling another :)

We had such a wonderful night with Chef Landi! He gave us great cooking tips, had us be involved in every step of the cooking process, and the food was superb. He even printed out the recipes for us to take home and try. Not to mention how lovely his company was - such a joy to just chat with him and hear his life stories. The experience my father and I had with chef Landi was amazing and well above and beyond expectations! We were immediately made to feel welcome by our gracious host. After some brief introductions and conversation about our level of cooking experience we got started. Chef Landi shared instruction, tips and tricks with us as well as some culinary history along the way. He included touching stories of some of his experiences throughout his culinary career. The food we prepared and cooked was amazing and it brought our culinary skills to the next level. Just delightful in every sense. This was a surprise to my wife who is aspiring to be a chef and leave her software skills behind. Chef Landi did not just host us for a delicious experience but was humble enough to give a true insight of culinary industry and what to expect in that career. He walked us through the stories of his beginnings in Italy, Canada and how he fulfilled his destiny as a top chef.
Coming back to the class, chef Landi has a style for teaching culinary where he pairs his instructions with a metaphor which makes it easy to pick things. It was very hands-on right from knife skills, chopping to making dough to detailed techniques of using pasta machine. Learning how to decide on ingredients & pairing them for making sauce was very worthful. And finally, watching chef make creme brulee from scratch, and providing intricate details of the procedure gave us a totally different perspective on how to approach it.
All in all this experience gave us a lot more than we had expected and will be marked as a memorable moment of our lives. Thanks a lot Chef Landi and we hope to see you soon for another memorable conversation.

Great experience. He made it easy to learn and explained everything in a way you could understand even if you don't cook. Very kind and welcoming. Makes you feel very comfortable. I will definitely book another meeting with him !

We had a wonderful experience with Chef Landi! He was very professional, knowledgeable and engaging! Cooking is something my husband and I like to do together, and we both feel excited to have new meals to add to our repertoire! The only downside is now I have to get new attachments for our kitchen aid...lol. Thank you Chef Landi for an amazing experience neither of us will forget! Hopefully we will see you in future classes!

Had an absolutely fabulous time with Chef Landi. He is extremely knowledgable and extremely social. The food was amazing and the instruction was easy, very thourough but more than that we had a lot of fun.
I cannot praise this experience and look forward to having another class with him.

Chef Landi was a wonderful host. He was a genuine, kind person and made the evening very enjoyable. I would hope that Cozy Meal compensates these chefs appropriately. I feel $85 apiece was a lot of money for the night and that a tip was not necessary.

Chef Landi immediately made us feel at home when we arrived at his place for our Italian seafood fare class. He had the recipes prepared for us with each course so that we could follow along and take the recipes home with us to recreate. He also encouraged us to get involved in each step of the cooking process if we were willing ☺️He sprinkled in tips and tricks as he went along, and included stories about his life experiences in Albania and Philadelphia. We loved every single course as it was perfectly seasoned and you could tell truly made with love. Highly recommend this experience!

Cooking with Chef Landi was an incredibly personal experience. He made every effort to ensure we were getting what we wanted out of our cooking class. Beyond the dishes, Chef Landi shared about his fascinating life and philosophy of why he cooks. I could not have asked for a better experience.

Drawing on his Albanian heritage, Chef Landi cooks food that is influenced by the many cultures present in that region of the world. His food is beautiful to look at and even better tasting. He has a very warm and engaging soul that comes through in his food. Highly recommended!

We wound up having to cancel at the last minute due to illness - it would’ve been nice to have been given more grace over this as we obviously didn’t plan to get sick (eg, maybe having our tickets be honored in a future class), but no such grace was given. This was supposed to be a birthday present for my wife, but with 2 young kids in daycare we’re often getting sick out of the blue.
