Private Chef - American Favorites with Caribbean Flavors

Infuse the flavors and ingredients of the islands with a few favorite American dishes.

The flavors of the Caribbean will be on full display in this immersive private chef experience. Chef Nyjal will craft a multi-course meal that takes inspiration from the islands. Being the meal with baked cod shredded and paired with peppers, onions and garlic. Then roast Brussels sprouts with honey and cayenne pepper sauce. On the side, enjoy a creamy white yam puree made with butter. For dessert, enjoy a refreshing mango or pineapple sorbet to end the meal.

Guests are welcome to provide wine and beer to accompany the menu, and may request pairing recommendations from the chef upon booking.

Jerk Salmon Cakes

With salmon, jerk spices and pineapple tartar sauce

Shredded Bacalhau & Peppers

With baked cod fish, sweet peppers, onions, and garlic

Honey-Cayenne Roasted Brussels Sprouts

With brussels sprouts glazed in a honey and cayenne pepper sauce

White Yam Puree

With white yam, cream, and butter

Fresh Fruit Sorbet

With creamy mango or pineapple

We had such a great experience with Chef Nyjal! We learned a lot of different skills during the class that we will be able to use daily when cooking. The menu was great and the food came out delicious.

Our experience with Chef Nyjal was terrific. He came prepared with all the necessary ingredients. He was patient and clear in his instructions. Everything we made (from the eclairs to the bananas foster) was delicious. It was an excellent activity for the family to do together. We enjoyed it immensely. I do recommend him to anyone interested.
