Chef Jared was amazing from arrival until the end of dinner. The food was some of the best we’ve had in the DFW area. We would highly recommend Chef Jared to anyone looking for a great private meal.

Booked the menu Stunning New American Feast with Chef Jared in Azle
I am so disappointed. We just experienced an incredible adventure with a Cozymeal food tour in Denver. In the meantime, I booked a private chef - Jared - for my in laws' 60th wedding anniversary. When I first booked, I immediately heard from Chef that the date I wanted wasn't available as he was celebrating his own anniversary. I appreciated that and suggested an alternate date. That was also not available due to his planned attendance at a golf tournament. None of the dates he indicated he'd be unavailable were noted on the calendar. That should have been my first clue. He said he could be available the day after returning from his anniversary trip. I reluctantly agreed, thinking I wouldn't want to commit to something the day after traveling, but I didn't want to go too far past the anniversary of my in laws. We exchanged a few messages through the Cozymeal system in the days leading up to the event. On what I knew was still a day of his anniversary trip, I reached out for one minor clarification and wished him & his wife well. He responded, acknowledging my request and said his wife wanted to stay longer - "lol". That should have been my second clue. I had clarified a number of things for my in laws, who live over 1000 miles away. I didn't think anything else about it. At around two hours before my in laws expected him to arrive, he messaged me through the system - I just happened to be checking email at the time - that he and his wife had decided to stay an extra night, and they would arrive at the airport at about the time food was expected to be served. He'd be at my in laws' home 90 minutes later. He didn't ask if that was okay. He hadn't let me know when they decided the night before to stay. When I asked for additional clarification on his arrival time, he indicated I had misunderstood and he would be there 30 minutes after food was to be served and food would be ready 60 minutes later. There is never a time that you can land at that airport and be at my in laws' home in the amount of time he suggested. I've driven it many times. I talked with my in laws at two points - once when I thought food wouldn't be served until nearly 8 pm, based on what Chef Jared said, and again when he suggested it would only be 90 minutes later than originally planned. NEVER did he ask if any of this was okay. My in laws said they'd prefer not to have him come at all under these circumstances. I understood. I asked him not to go their home. Thankfully, he respected that request and didn't. I have reached out to Cozymeal by phone to resolve this issue and left three messages, asking them to call me asap. I have no response at this time - over 24 hours later - except a request to review my experience. I am hoping at this point that someone makes it right.
