On this food tour with Guide David, you'll explore the Belmont section of the Bronx — also known as Little Italy or Arthur Avenue — which is one of NYC’s last enclaves of family-run food shops.
Guide David will take you to visit nearly a dozen Italian food shops, most of which have been in business for more than 100 years, where you can look forward to sampling housemade ricotta, checking out a local bakery for a taste of their white chocolate bread, watching fresh pasta being made, tasting hand-pulled mozzarella, and much more!

Guide David's tour of South Brooklyn was an amazing way to spend an afternoon learning and tasting the rich cultural history of the area. I felt like we were getting real insider knowledge about the best and most authentic restaurants, cafes, and markets. At every stop he shared wonderful anecdotes about the shops founders, how certain recipes came to be, and how food has changed and been changed by development. Each dish we tried was a perfect sampling of the diversity of flavors in the neighborhood and so delicious. I will be stopping back at each of the restaurants for more soon!
